Vannary San, co-founder of Agile Development Group, is a local social entrepreneur. Vannary was born into a country in a time of unimaginable turmoil and has worked in positive activism her whole life. As a self-made social entrepreneur, Vannary built Lotus Silk Boutique which employs women from disadvantaged backgrounds to produce up-cycled vintage fashion and is currently working with rural communities in Kampot Province to revive Cambodian Golden Silk. Vannary previously worked for Action Aid and Helen Keller International for over 12 years and has extensive experience in rural food security, organic gardens, decentralized democracy training, women’s rights and sexual health issues. Vannary recently became head of the membership committee of the Cambodia Women Entrepreneur Association (CWEA).

Laura was born and raised on a dairy farm in rural England and has five years’ experience working in the field of international development, across South and Southeast Asia and the UK. Laura has spent the last two years living in Cambodia working in rural community development and social enterprise and leads Agile’s work across a range of social and economic issues affecting the future sustainability of rural communities in Cambodia.
Ana De Miguel
Ana is an experienced international development professional with ten years of experience working at the United Nations in the areas of governance, local development, disaster risk reduction and early recovery. She has recently joined Agile Development Group as she is excited about the potential that design thinking and creative problem solving has to address some of our current and most pressing development challenges. Ana has fieldwork experience in a range of different country contexts in Latin America, Europe and Asia and you can contact her in Spanish, English or French.
